In October a team arrived from Upstate New York to bring about the culmination of five months of preparation. Working together with a team of Brazilians, the team of 12 Americans built a church building in one week in the river community of Alça Viaria (AV).
The thriving group of believers in AV were already going upriver for the weekly church service. Now they have their own building in their own community to better reach out to those around them. The church was inaugurated on December 20th with the installation of Pastor Manuel and his wife Lúcia. May God be glorified!
