First missions conference for Castanhal church

For the first time, all of the leaders from our 16 church plants in this region gathered together at our base church of Castanhal. The missions conference was a weekend during which our local church was able to express it’s appreciation for all the sacrifices made to share the love of Jesus with others in these often-forgotten communities.

It was a tremendous blessing for us to see them all together, and be reminded of all that God is doing in this region. Ken spent much of the weekend driving our van to and from church, the bus station, other houses, etc…Nineteen families in the church opened up their homes to host each of these pastors and leaders.

The goal for the 2009 Mission Conference is to have 32 church plants, with each existing church having planted another during the course of 2009. With each church that is begun, we rejoice that it means changed lives and people set free from darkness!
